Robert Peterson and The Crusade is a Musical Artist. But it is more than that. It is the culmination of a concept and an inspired vision brought to life. An ideal; a musical Trojan horse waiting outside the door to share its positive message with those who have ears to hear.    

The inspiration to create an American rock group was hatched in St. Paul, MN, and has shifted into Phase II and is now centrally located and based in Southwest Missouri. Peterson characterizes his sound as a heterogeneous collection of alternative rock and power pop rock interwoven with hook-driven melodies similar to early pop. He combines these catchy tunes with an edgier rock style popular in the late 1970s, 80s and early 90s. The band's singles, Sometime, Of All The World, and Baa Baa The Black Sheep, are great examples. Their debut album, Change Coming On, was released on February 6, 2026. 

Robert Peterson and The Crusade blends modern indie and alternative twists with traditional classic rock elements creating a unique and refreshing experience and offering an exciting synthesis of nostalgia and contemporary rock. While their lyrics are often cloaked in positive spiritual metaphors, the powerful musical style is unmistakably inspired by classic rock 'n' roll, with influences from a plethora of iconic artists and bands.
